Minister Jones

Minister Sheldon Jones was born July 6, 1976 and raised on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. At the age of 24, desiring a righteous life, Sheldon Jones heard the call of Holiness to come out from among the world and be separate; which led him to join the True Church of God in Christ and became acquainted with then Minister Tony Smith.

Minister Sheldon Jones, then Brother Jones, later departed from True Church of God in Christ and became a faithful brother of God’s True Worshippers Church in the Lord Jesus, where he soon became a reader for Minister Tony Smith. Approximately two (2) years later, Bro Jones and Minister Smith departed from God’s True Worshippers because the firm doctrine that once was preached and drew them had been compromised. Brother Jones and Minister Smith always held themselves to a high standard of living and understood the importance of being taught the pure, uncompromised Word of God and with that understanding they departed from True Worshippers Church in the Lord Jesus in search of a better way.

In January 2003, The Way of God Church of the Lord Jesus was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in the living room of Pastor Tony Smith. At the foundation of the church, Minister Jones committed himself to supporting Pastor Smith and The Way of God Church to the fullest of his ability to the extent that the truth continued to remain uncompromised. A short time later, at the age of 26, Brother Jones became Minister Sheldon Jones, the ministry had been committed to him by Pastor Tony Smith. Minister Jones’ priorities have always been the ministry and his salvation. Therefore, he traveled faithfully between South Carolina and Atlanta, not only to hear the Word, but to assist in any manner that would help move the church forward. His drive stems from his desire to be a servant of Yah, to do all he can to take heed unto the doctrine to save himself, and others that hear him. Minister Jones purposes to preach, teach and live holy that he may be a living witness of the glorious power of Yah to encourage others to come in the knowledge of true Holiness.

Minister Jones now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, and continues to be a faithful servant to the ministry.
